Prayer of the Youth
on the occasion of the CBCP Year of the Youth

Almighty Father, God of life and love,
through time and ages, You love us.
You trust and choose us
to participate in Your saving work.

Bless us, Your young people,
with Your grace.
Give us the gift of living life to the full
by encountering Your Son
in a personal way
and sustaining a relationship with Him,
by learning what life truly is
from His words and works,
from His filial relationship with You,
And by living in true and fruitful
communion with You
and with one another.

Empower us through Your Holy Spirit
to stand firm in the faith.
May we bring our fellow young people
closer to You so that together,
we become agents of change
and builders of a society of justice and
solidarity, love and peace.

Enable all of us:
Your young people,
together with those ministering to us
in the Church, in families and in society,
to make a decisive response
to our universal vocation;
to live fully and fruitfully
by doing everything in love
as we follow Jesus Christ
along the path of genuine trust in You.

In communion with the rest of the Church,
we pray that this CBCP Year of the Youth
become a kairos time
for the youth ministry of Your Church
and a new springtime for us,
Filipino youth: a special period
of growing in Your grace
through our living in youthful holiness
and through our effort to reach out
as a Church to those waiting for Your love.

Together with our Blessed Mother,
our model in giving oneself
entirely to Your will,
we lift this prayer to You
in Jesus Christ, Your Son,

YOUTH JAM



Youth Jam may be in a form of:

  • Song or drama festival
    • Ang Kinabuhi ni Beato Pedro Calungsod
    • Kon buhi pa si Beato Pedro karon, kinsa man siya?
  • Socio-cultural presentations
    • Ang Pilipinas sa panahon ni Beato Pedro
  • Variety Show
  • Praise & Worship concert
  • Band Showdown
  • Games/Contest
    • Pedro Calungsod Look-alike

or any creative form of socialization. It must however be centered around the Duaw-kapilya.
 

TAIZE PRAYER



Silence during the Taize prayer must be strictly observed. Copies. of the flow of this prayer can be secured from the Commission on Youth office. Before the start of the opening song, set them in a solemn mood by letting them reflect on the following questions:

  1. Ginoo, ipadayag kanako kon unsa ang mga butang nga angay nakong biyaan ug kalimtan aron mas makasunod ako kang Kristo sama kang Beato Pedro?
  2. Ginoo, unsa may imong kabubut-on alang nako sa pagkakaron aron ako makapahimuot kanimo matag adlaw'ng tanan?
 

VIGIL AND VENERATION



The participants may spend at least one hour in veneration to the image. They may spend the time in prayer and songs. Rosary or novena to Blessed Pedro Calungsod can also be recited.

 

FAREWELL CEREMONY



The chapel youth officers may express his/her acknowledgements. Then the congregation says the following prayer.

All:
Dios nga tunhay ug makagagahum sa tanan, imong gihimo nga matinud- anon si Beato Pedro sa pagsangyaw sa Ebanghelyo hangtod sa pag-ula sa iyang dugo. Pinaagi sa iyang mga pahanungdan ug pangama, itugot nga magmalig-on usab kami sa diha sa pagtuo aron makalahutay hangtod sa kamatayon. Kini among gipangayo pinaagi sa among Ginoong JesuCristo imong Anak, nga buhi ug hari uban kanimo ug sa Espiritu Santo, Dios hangtod sa kahangturan. Amen.

PAG-AMPO SA KATILINGBAN

Leader:
Sa among pagsadya sa pag-ambit uban kang Beato Pedro Calungsod nianang pagtuo nga iyang gibugti-an sa iyang dugo, ipunting ta ang atong mga hunahuna ug mga pag-ampo alang sa mga panginahanglan sa tanang katawhan, magtutuo man 0 dili. Masaligon kitang mag-ampo sa Dios sa pag-ingon:
Mapuangurong Amahan, dungga ang among pag-ampo!

  1. Nga ang simbahan diha sa iyang linangkob nga pagsaksi kang Cristo, mahiusa sa iyang way kahadlok nga pagpakita ngadto sa kalibutan sa maayong balita sa kagawasan gikan sa sala ug sa kamatayon, mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.
  2. Nga ang mga puno-an sa kalibutan malamdagan sa pagtinguha dili sa gahum kondili sa mga huyang ug sa mga dinaugdaog, mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.
  3. Alang sa mga Simbahan nga nahilom tungod sa mga pagpanlutos, nga ang ilang pagtuo makapaamgo kanila, nga samag liso sa mustasa, motubo ug molambo kini diha sa hilom, mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.
  4. Hinumduman nato ang sila nga gisakit ginamit ang dili mako-tawhanong himan, ang mga biktima ug mga dinaugdaug, nga iuli na sa sakuban ang espada ug nga maalim na ang mga kasilag, mag-ampo kila sa Ginoo.
  5. Hinumduman usab nato sila nga mibati na wala nay bili ang pagpakabuhi ug ang pagpanlimbasog, nga ang silaw sa kahayag ni Cristo magdan-ag sa ilang kadulom ug magpadilaab kanila aron kanila aran magmahigugmaon ang mga nagmabugnawon, mag¬ampo kita sa Ginoo.
  6. Pangayoon ta sa Dios nga iyang panalanginan ug lamdagan ang tanang kahugpongan ug sila nga naningkamut sa epektibong pagpatunhay sa mga tawhanong katungod ug sa dignidad sa banay, mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.
  7. Alang sa tanang mga katekista nga madasig sila sa kasibot ni Beato Pedro Calungsod diha sa pagpaambit sa pagtuo bisan pa man hangtud sa pag-ula sa iyang dugo, mag-ampo kita sa Ginoo.
