Prayer of the Youth
on the occasion of the CBCP Year of the Youth

Almighty Father, God of life and love,
through time and ages, You love us.
You trust and choose us
to participate in Your saving work.

Bless us, Your young people,
with Your grace.
Give us the gift of living life to the full
by encountering Your Son
in a personal way
and sustaining a relationship with Him,
by learning what life truly is
from His words and works,
from His filial relationship with You,
And by living in true and fruitful
communion with You
and with one another.

Empower us through Your Holy Spirit
to stand firm in the faith.
May we bring our fellow young people
closer to You so that together,
we become agents of change
and builders of a society of justice and
solidarity, love and peace.

Enable all of us:
Your young people,
together with those ministering to us
in the Church, in families and in society,
to make a decisive response
to our universal vocation;
to live fully and fruitfully
by doing everything in love
as we follow Jesus Christ
along the path of genuine trust in You.

In communion with the rest of the Church,
we pray that this CBCP Year of the Youth
become a kairos time
for the youth ministry of Your Church
and a new springtime for us,
Filipino youth: a special period
of growing in Your grace
through our living in youthful holiness
and through our effort to reach out
as a Church to those waiting for Your love.

Together with our Blessed Mother,
our model in giving oneself
entirely to Your will,
we lift this prayer to You
in Jesus Christ, Your Son,
our Friend, Brother and Lord,
in the Power of the Holy Spirit,
now and forever. Amen.

Note: Parishes are also given the freedom to modify or make their own schedule of activities, provided the essential activities such as the catechesis, group sharing and dynamics, and the Eucharistic celebration are not left out.
 

ENTHRONEMENT

Instructions:
  1. An altar must be prepared where the image is to be placed. Native/indigenous materials can be used to signify the cultural background of Beato Pedro.
  2. The facilitator must see to it that everyone has settled before he/she starts the enthronement liturgy. Silence must be observed.
  3. Two youth participants will be assigned to bring the flowers and another two for the candles. They shall precede the image of Blessed Pedro.
  4. The chapel youth officers shall be the ones to carry the image from the chapel entrance to the altar.
  5. An appropriate song will be sung. (e.g. Way Sukod Ang Pagmahal)

Langitnon namong Amahan, nagpasalamat kami kanimo kay imo kaming gihatagan ug usa ka katagilungsod, si Beato Pedro Calungsod aron mahimo namong sumbanan sa among pagsunod kang Kristo.

Nagpasalamat kami niining dakong higayon nga iya kaming giduaw dinhi sa among kapilya aron pagpahimangno kanamo nga duna kami’y langitnong higala.

Maningkamot kami nga mahinangpon namo siyang pasudlon sa among mga kasing-kasing aron amo gayud siyang maila-ila ug makat-on sa pagsalig kaniya. Kini among gipangayo pinaagi ni Kristo, among Ginoo ug higala. Amen.

Angkona ang among mga kabalaka (ibungat ang imong tuyo) ug panga;iyupo alang kanamo atubangan sa trono sa Kaluoy ug grasya aron sa among pagsinati sa hinabang sa langit madasig kami sa pagpuyo ug pagsangyaw sa Ebanghelyo dinhi sa yuta. Amen.

 

EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION



The host chapel may request the parish priest and/or youth spiritual director in their parish to preside over the mass. The “GOZOS NI PEDRO CLAUNGSOD” may be sung as the recessional song.

 

ANIMATION



Action songs must be prepared to sustain the interest of the participants. The actions for the "Blessed Pedro Calungsod" song can be also taught. Games are also suggested to facilitate acquaintance among the participants.
